Sales
This department is responsible for processing hundreds
of orders every day. The sales force delivers "Value
Added" Programs to pharmacists across Canada as well as
servicing customer accounts through inventory control
and handling backorders and returns. The sales force
manages the sales of 260 generic medications in over
4000 dosages for use in over 7000 pharmacies which
includes chains, independents and 1500 hospital
pharmacies.
Functions of this department are:
- Order Entry
- Customer Service
- Accounts Receivable
- Tender on hospital contracts - Service and Support
of Hospitals across Canada
- Management of Canadian sales force
Marketing and Professional Services
The Marketing and Professional Services Department is
responsible for all aspects of marketing the Apotex Inc.
product line within the Canadian market.
Additionally, the department employs a team of licensed
pharmacists who oversee the development and provision of
professional programs, services and materials for
Canadian pharmacists as part of the Apotex Inc. overall
Sales strategy.
This department engages in:
Product Marketing
- Collaborates with all departments to ensure
timely launch of new products
- Ensures availability of products through various
distribution channels
- Promotes market access to Apotex products
- Promotes products to ensure all potential
customers are aware of Apotex product line
- Provides the Sales Department with market
insight
- Develops marketing plans to strengthen customer
loyalty
Professional Services
- Provides drug information services to health
care professionals and the public (DISpedia).
- Support and partnership with Faculties of
Pharmacy, national, provincial, and regional
pharmacy associations via awards, conferences,
practice research, grants and projects
- Offers leading edge continuing education
programs in print and online formats.
- Provides product – specific education and
support for healthcare professionals
- Develops innovative pharmacy enhancement
programs and services
Public and Government Affairs
The Public and Government Affairs department is
responsible for managing relations with all
internal and external stakeholder groups
including all levels of governments, lobbying,
charitable giving, public relations, crisis
planning, media relations, strategic
communication planning and organizing of special
events.
The role of this department within the Apotex
Group is to develop, maintain and expand
corporate reputation and image. Key activities
are undertaken with a broad spectrum of
stakeholder groups to enhance reputation and
image. The Public and Government Affairs
Department is a consultant to all departments of
the Company for communications.
