The Human Resources Department is responsible for
advocating, facilitating and implementing HR best practices
through positive employee relations programs that support
and add value to the corporate mission through immediate and
long-range strategies and initiatives.
Responsibilities
Human Resources is responsible for the following activities
in partnership with line management:
- Recruitment of new Employees - internal & external
- Compensation
- Pension & Benefits
- Employee Committee & Management
Committee–Communication processes
- Learning & Development Programs
- Health Services
- Human Resources Information Systems
- Safety, Health & Environment and Compliance Programs
- Internal Employee Relations Communications
- Payroll
Key Principles
- HR priorities will be aligned with the overall
business objectives.
- HR works in partnership with its "customers".
- The HR Department acts as a resource to the
organization and to line managers as they manage their
people, and to the employees as they pursue their
responsibilities.
- HR demonstrates and promotes respect for people.
