Canada's Access to Medicines Regime


Canada's Access to Medicines Regime (CAMR) provides a process through which eligible countries can import less expensive generic versions of patented drugs and medical devices. All products exported under the Regime must meet the same rigorous requirements for safety, effectiveness and quality as those authorized for the Canadian market. Products covered by the Regime are for critical diseases and are listed under Schedule 1 of the CAMR. These can be viewed by visting:
